Christian Louboutin caused a bit of an uproar when he launched a nail polish line offered at the very luxury price point of $50 per bottle. Well, they didn’t stop there – the brand’s new limited edition holiday launch, called Starlight, retails for $675.
The bottle houses the signature red shade, Rouge Louboutin, and is bedazzled with 1,500 hand-applied, two-tone Strass crystals. The polish is displayed in a black lacquer box that’s decorated with leather and crystal flowers straight off the brand’s Pensamoi shoe style. Check out the beautiful design below!
Earlier this week, Christian Louboutin announced that he was releasing a line of nail polish, the first products in his new beauty line. At the nail polish launch today, a rep from his team said the designer was “giving back to beauty what he had taken away from it.” The full nail polish range, which launches August 31, will include 30 colors in three different categories: Pops, Nudes and Noirs. Right now, you can snag the line’s signature shade, Rouge Louboutin , online and at Saks for $50, making it the most expensive nail polish in the luxury market right now. Christian Louboutin has added his signature red hue to one more accessory – nail polish. The French designer has teamed with beauty brand Batallure to create ‘Nail Colour Rouge Louboutin’, a red polish that matches the iconic soles of his footwear. The bottle of the new polish will be in the shape of a stiletto, which Louboutin explained was significant because the idea for red shoe soles came from painting one of his first shoe designs with red nail varnish.
I see some African inspiration in these sky high pair of Louboutins. The tribal details are the perfect complement to the glam gold straps. Love this pair!
Christian Louboutin and Marchesa showcased their collaboration on the runway for Spring 2014 Fashion week. The designs are beautiful and feminine. The laser-cutting, lace and floral details make for a lovely and refreshing take on the signature Louboutin pump. It’s a shame these shoes won’t be available to the public!
